Valerie is licensed to practice throughout the lifespan and specialized in the area of child and adolescent psychiatry. She provides diagnostic psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for children and adults, incorporating pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment strategies.

She is currently employed at Boston Children's Hospital, Inpatient Psychiatry Services. Valerie has a broad range of previous experience, such as working in CBAT, PHP, school, and outpatient settings.  

During evaluations, Valerie considers possible psychological, developmental, genetic, metabolic, nutritional, cultural, spiritual and social influences.  She believes in prescribing the least amount of medication possible to effectively treat symptoms.
